Ecohub is a project to build an innovative living and working development in Digbeth, in Birmingham city centre. It uses the Community Land Trust model, more common in rural areas than in urban, in which the land is held in trust. Among other results, this enables affordable housing to stay affordable, by removing increase in land values from the value of the house. The project has several partners, including Accord Housing Association and Friends of the Earth Birmingham.
