Edgbaston Reservoir is a large feeder reservoir for the Birmingham canal system, and was designed by Thomas Telford in the 1820s. It is a popular park, a valuable nature reserve, and a location for several water sports. We were commissioned in 2005 by the City Council to prepare a Development Plan. This was delivered in July 2006, following extensive consultation with residents, users and stakeholder groups. It proposes a strategy for the improvement and management of the reservoir over the next 20 years, and in particular seeks to resolve conflicts between its various layers of use.
