This is a design for a new end-of-terrace house to be built adjacent to the client’s existing house. The architectural intention was to make it significantly different from the existing terrace, and facing sideways, so as to act as an architectural bookend on the street junction.

It was refused planning approval, as being too different from its neighbours, and the appeal against refusal was also turned down. We are submitting a revised version.
